We are seeking a MES Solution Architect to design, develop, and implement robust Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) tailored to modern manufacturing environments. This role involves defining system architecture, ensuring seamless integration with factory operations, and driving automation and digital transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- System Architecture Design
- Design scalable, modular, and high-performance MES architectures that align with manufacturing goals.
- Develop solutions that enable real-time tracking, data collection, and analysis of production processes.
- Requirement Gathering and Analysis
- Work with cross-functional teams to identify business and operational requirements.
- Translate requirements into functional specifications for MES solutions.
- Integration with Factory Systems
- Ensure seamless integration of the MES with ERP, SCADA, PLCs, and other automation systems.
- Establish communication standards for interoperability, including OPC-UA, REST APIs, or other protocols.
- Implementation and Deployment
- Lead the implementation and rollout of MES solutions across multiple manufacturing sites.
- Define system validation and testing procedures to ensure reliability and performance.
- Optimization and Continuous Improvement
- Monitor MES performance and recommend enhancements to improve efficiency, quality, and uptime.
- Identify and resolve issues related to system architecture, data flow, or integration.
- Team Collaboration and Support
- Work closely with IT, production, and quality teams to align MES functionalities with business objectives.
- Provide training and support to operators, engineers, and end-users.
Skills and Expertise
- MES Platforms: Strong knowledge of MES platforms such as Siemens Opcenter, Rockwell FactoryTalk, or GE Proficy.
- Integration Expertise: Experience integrating MES with ERP (e.g., SAP), PLCs, and other factory systems.
- Programming Skills: Proficiency in SQL, Java, Python, or similar languages for customizing and extending MES functionality.
- System Architecture: Understanding of system design principles, data flow optimization, and modular architectures.
- Standards Knowledge: Familiarity with industry standards like ISA-95 and Industry 4.0 frameworks.
- Project Management: Ability to lead MES deployment projects, including timelines, resources, and budgets.
